Leah, please do look us up in the fall! We are trying to make in the the first US Yosakoi festival in the US in September. it would be great if you could be part of it! We’ll try to keep the website current so that you can check our schedule.

I know about your group! 10tecomai is very energetic. We were asked to participate in the DC Sakura Matsuri and found about your group when I was checking about the possibility of performing. Unfortunately, we were able to make the early deadlines. We are a very informal group, consisting of mostly students, and thus the memberships fluctuates year to year. If we are ever in the NY area, we will definitely contact you!

I’m transferring to KSU in the fall, so I’ve been looking for school activities. I’ve found a lot of neat things not at my current school, but the last one I found is Yosakoi, and it looks so awesome! I watched the video of the team in Hokkaido in 2008. Not only does it seem fun and challenging but it’ll be fun to visit my parents and tell them what I’ve been doing…and they won’t have any clue what I’m getting at. It’s so unique! Not to mention Japanese like most things my brother and I like.

Hello. My name is Tomas Trinidad and i’m the Exec Director of a New York based performing group “Yosakoi Dance Project – 10tecomai” . As one of the only dance performance groups in the US solely dedicated to spreading the knowledge of Yosakoi, i’m,happy to see a group like yours out there preaching thru dance and song and energy but most importantly teaching others about Yosakoi!!!

If any of you are ever in the NYC area, please contact us (info10teco@gmail.com ), as we are always looking to collaborate with groups who are interested in Yosakoi. We have videos on Youtube and we have a facebook page as well.

I’m just a fan of yosakoi dance. In my town we haven’t got the club for yosakoi yet. We learned yosakoi while taking Japanese language course few years ago..we got to perform during some Japanese cultural events at our language school, but since it’s closed, been a while we didn’t dance =(
Anyway, your site is really inspiring..if you don’t mind we’d like to learn the dance from the videos you’ve uploaded..^^ Really high spirited..and please stay that way! All the best for the K-state yosakoi and mina san no yosakoi spirit! Doumo arigatoouu..it makes us want to keep on dancing..^___^

My sister went to school there last year, but has transfered now. She had a video of the dancers and their energy and talent is awesome.

Lacy said she couldn’t keep up and the video supported why

Naka-kon sounds awesome and yosakoï is über-over-awesome. I wish I could go back to Japan and dance that again. I’m glad to see some clubs exist outside of Japan, too.

Hi, I was wondering when the Central Kansas Japanese festival will be taking place. If you could let me know the date and times I would really appreciate it. I haven’t seen any advertisement but I heard that it was going to be 9 April. I wanted to know if this was true and what time. I really want to see you all perform again!
