New Member Orientation

Welcome for all those interested in joining and finding out more about the club! The first “New Members Orientation” will be this Friday 1/25 at the International Student Center at 7pm. Feel free to come, bring a friend and dance with us! We will begin a new dance called “Gakko-youkyouzai”. Please wear appropriate workout clothes and you shoudl be ready to go! NO dance experience necessary. See you then!

Japanese Sapporo TV Video

Last summer, we went to Japan to perform at the Yosakoi Festival there in Sapporo, Hokkaido. While there, the biggest TV network there, “Sapporo TV”, documented our stay. The video is a short clip of a running series on the K-State team that was broadcast to viewers in Sapporo and across Japan.

KSU Yosakoi Performs at Manhattan Town Center for Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Monday, January 21st, K-State Yosakoi members performed for Manhattan community members at the Manhattan Town Center. “Yocchore,” “Soran Bushi,” and “Samurai” were performed. At their very first performance at the mall, the group was very well received! It was also a successful performance to mark the beginning of the 2008 year for Yoskaoi.

A big thanks goes out to the MLKJr. Committee Members that planned the event!

Starting out in ’08

Last night was the first practice for Yosakoi since the winter break. We were all a bit tired after practice, but it was great to get together to dance again! Our next practice is Friday, tomorrow, in the Little Theatre starting at 7pm. We’ll be getting ready for our performance at the mall in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Hope to see you all tomorrow! Wasshoi!!!
